The group split in two. One group drove to Krom River and hiked up Winterbach hike the other group drove to Eikebook and hiked up to the Sneeuwberg Hut. The Winterbach hike was quite strenuous as the path required a lot of clamoring to reach the peak at 1536 m. The hike to Sneeuwberg hut is a fairly gentle gradient on a jeep track.
