| My background is :- Coastal engineering when I first graduated, from 1972 to 1983 civil, geotechnical & structural engineering from 1984 on. Hobbies - NSRI for 23 years as crew and Class III Coxswain until a year ago when I retired from active service. - Windsurfing, Hobie 16 sailing and scuba-diving. - Swimming, golf, tennis & horse-riding. Hiking: Prefer the longer 5 day trails & hiking weekends; and particularly in a "coastal" or "river/lake" environment eg. the Otter trail, Wild Coast trail & Strandloper - so watch this space for those kind of hikes!!
